After the political authorization of the event and a large percentage of exhibitors announcing their participation, hope was huge that after two years of cancellation, the 2022 edition of the second largest German book fair could be hold. But in the end, too many large publishing houses had decided against participating due to the uncertain pandemic situation.
The literature in Portuguese language from Portugal and PALOP, which includes Portuguese and African authors writing in Portuguese, were invited as Guest of Honour. We’re deeply sorry that this unique opportunity of showing the richness of this literature, written by many of our authors who were invited, will be missed again.
