This year’s San Sebastian Film Festival closed with the international premiere of the Colombian filmmaker Fernando Trueba’s Forgotten We’ll Be, out of competition. Adapted from Héctor Abad Faciolince’s homonymous bestselling novel El olvido que seremos, the film is a Cannes 2020 selection, but as the festival was cancelled, it was unable to premiere.
The movie will also represent Colombia in the Best Latin American Film category at the next edition of Spain’s Goya Awards, which will be celebrated in February 2021 in Málaga.
