Djaimilia Pereira de Almeida //
Djaimilia Pereira de Almeida wins the second place of the Oceanos Prize 2020 with her novel The Vision of Plants (“A Visão das Plantas”). Almeida won last year’s edition with her novel Luanda, Lisbon, Paradise (“Luanda, Lisboa, Paraíso”). Other previous winners are Gonçalo M. Tavares, Chico Buarque, José Luiz Passos, and José Luís Peixoto.
The prize consists of 80.000 R$ (approx. 12.900,00 €).
