Jan Jacobs Mulder passed away in Haarlem on 13th of September 2019. Born in 1940, he spent his childhood years in a Japanese internment camp and combined his work in the visual arts with his writing. His historical novel Joseph, the Black Mozart was a big success in Dutch and German language.
