Nicole Witt //

On 9 October 2026, Nicole Witt participated in the panel “The Buying and Selling of Rights in the Latin American Market” at the LatAm Stage at this year’s Frankfurt Book Fair, together with Verónica Flores from VF Agency, Mexico, and Vivian Lavin from VLP Agency, Chile. The panel was moderated by Lisa Daveloza from Agencia Küntur, Colombia.

The round-table discussion focused on questions like what exactly do we mean when we speak about the Latin American market; who are the actors buying and selling rights and how does the international exchange function; how and where in Latin America do books circulate and how do they reach their audiences; and what are current changes happening in the rights and publishing world.

Simultaneous interpreting from Spanish into English was provided during the panel discussion.

The LatAm Stage was launched this year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first focus of the Frankfurt Book Fair, which was Latin America in 1976. Whilst the programme from Wednesday to Friday focused on topics from the book industry, writers took the floor at the weekend to discuss topics ranging from literature to social issues.
