“Os grandes carníveros” by Adriana Lisboa is shortlisted for the São Paulo Prize in the category Best Novel of the Year 2024.
In this edition of the prize, 323 works competed, 158 of which were in the “Best Novel of the Year” category, and 165 for “Best Debut Novel”.
Among the former winners are Mariana Salomão Carrara, Ana Paula Maia, Maria Valéria Rezende, Daniel Galera and Cristovão Tezza.
The winners will be announced on November 24 at a ceremony at the Villa-Lobos Park Library in São Paulo. Each will receive a prize of R$ 200,000 (corresponding to more than 32,000€).
