We are proud to announce that eight of our authors are among the semifinalists of the Oceanos Prize 2022!
The Paediatrician by Andréa Del Fuego, Unauthorised Autobiography by Dulce Maria Cardoso, Degeneration by Fernando Bonassi, Seaquake by Djaimilia Pereira de Almeida, Museu da Revolução by João Paulo Borges Coelho, The Invisible Elephant Hunter by Mia Couto, The Most Beautiful End of the World by José Eduardo Agualusa, and Vista Chinesa by Tatiana Salem Levy.

Paulo Scott forms part of the intermediary jury which will select the ten finalists and otherwise consists of Jeferson Tenório, Nina Rizzi, and Prisca Agustoni from Brazil; João Luís Barreto Guimarães and José Riço Direitinho from Portugal; and Teresa Manjate from Mozambique.

In the last stage, the final jury will select the three winners. The total value of the prize is R$ 250,000 (48,400 EUR) which is split into R$ 120,000 (23,200 EUR) for the first place, R$ 80,000 (15,500 EUR) for the second and R$ 50,000 (9,700 EUR) for the third.
