Marcial Gala and Patrícia Melo //
We are happy to announce that our authors Marcial Gala and Patrícia Melo are among the semi-finalists of the Prix des libraires du Québec 2024 in the category Novels, short stories, stories from outside Quebec.
Gala is recognized for his title “Call me Cassandra”, published by Éditions Zulma, while Melo stands out with her work “The Simple Art of Killing a Woman”, published by Les Éditions Buchet-Chastel.
The 24 titles shortlisted for the second selection will be unveiled on 8 February at La Livrerie bookshop in Montreal.
The winners will then be announced on 16 May at Club Soda after an electronic vote by all the province’s booksellers.
The renowned award is organized by the ALQ, the The Quebec Booksellers Association.
